敷地はAhmedabadの旧市街の歴史的な街並が残っているKhadiという地区の中にある駐車場兼空地である．POLと呼ばれる伝統住居の空間要素を参照し、旧市街の古い構造を旧市街の住宅スケールより少し大きいスケールの建築で更新していくことで、極小スケールの建築物の老朽化により空洞化が目立つ旧市街を更新させる第一手となるものとして提案した．
The site is a parking lot and vacant lot in Khadi, an area of Ahmedabad where the historical streets of the old city still remain. We proposed this project as the first step to renew the old town, which is noticeably hollowed out due to the aging of very small scale buildings.
